The Alpha Eta Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa was founded on May 28th, 1930 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Omicron Delta Kappa is a 100-year old national leadership honor society that has initiated more than 300,000 members since its founding. The Society recognizes not only academic achievement but also campus leadership across Scholarship, Athletics, Campus or Community Service, Journalism, and Performing Arts.
Once every year, a small group of talented Georgia Students get inducted into the circle. Student membership in the Alpha Eta Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa is based on leadership and service within the Georgia Tech community, outstanding scholarship, and exemplary character.
There are three stages of the recruitment process:
- Written Application
- Formal Interview
- Campus Roundtable Discussion
To be eligible for student membership, you must be a graduate student or undergraduate junior or senior by hours (meaning 60 or more completed hours), and hold a GPA among the top 35% of students. For Fall 2015 recruitment, the GPA cutoff for all majors is 3.50.
